Technique Time! Newly released Modern Gilding Powders

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you seen the newly released Modern Gilding Powders?  I received mine last Thursday and played with the powders over the weekend.  The new colors are so lovely and coordinate with the previously released set.  I started playing with the perfectly pretty purples and created a fun striped background.

Quietfire Product used:
Modern Gilding Powders in Dragonberry, Armenian Pink, Tyrian Purple, and Dilly Dilly Lavendar, Gothic Black
Do what makes you happy stamp (retired)

Other product:
Double sided tape in three widths
Emboss Writer (bullet tips)
Ruler
Versamark ink
Circle nesting dies
Black card stock
White card stock
Corner punch

Instructions:
1.  Cut white card stock to size.  Adhere widest tape to the card front.  (I applied two strips.)  Use a bone folder to smooth completely.
 2.  Remove plastic from tape and sprinkle on the Tyrian Purple Gilding powder.  Set using heat tool.

 3.  Continue on with next smallest width and Dilly Dilly Lavendar.  Heat set.  Repeat with next width and Armenian Pink.

4.  The final lines are quite small.  Use the embossing marker and a ruler to create three lines.  Emboss using the Dragonberry powder.  Punch edges with round corner punch.
5.  Stamp the sentiment onto white card stock using pigment ink.  Heat set using Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder.  Die cut.
6.  Die cut circle slightly larger than the quote die cut in step 5.  Apply Versamark to edges and heat emboss using Dragonberry.
7.  Cut card base from black card stock.  Use corner punch on edges.  Mount embossed panel using double sided adhesive.
8.  Mount sentiment to embossed circle die cut using double sided adhesive.  Mount to card front using double sided foam tape.
9.  Decorate inside as desired.
Thank you for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the card and technique.  Feel free to give it a try and share on the Suzanne Cannon Fan Group!

Bug Hugs,
Kathy Jo
