This Heart Longing for You – Chipboard Plaque!

Good morning!  Sherry here today and I have a chipboard plaque using one of the newly released Quietfire Design companion sets, This Heart Long for You, to share with you.

The base for the plaque is a page from an old chipboard book, that was covered with My Mind’s Eye In Bloom paper.  The paper was glued to the chipboard, the edges were sanded away, and then sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Queen’s Gold Embossing Powder.  Once cooled, the sentiment was die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Ovals SM, and while the paper was still in the die, Antique Linen was sponged around the edges.  I felt the ink was too much and dribbled some water over the sentiment to give it a more aged look.

A frame was made by gluing coordinating paper to chipboard and die cutting with Opulent Ovals.  The frame was mounted over the sentiment with foam tape to add more dimension.

The flowers were die cut from another piece of the paper with Bitty Blossoms, and the leaves from watercolor paper with Foliage.  The leaves were colored with Bundled Sage Distress Stain.   The flair is from Venetian Motifs and was die cut from watercolor paper, then colored with Weather Wood Distress Stain and then lightly sponged Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

I found the ribbon in my stash jar already dies.  The yellow matched a yellow in the paper so I ran with it.  Little did I realize that I had virtually covered up all the yellow until after the fact.

That’s all for me today.  Thanks for stopping by and joining me!
