Noel

Hello!!!  I'm so glad you stopped by today!!!  It's Wanda here and I'm sharing a card using the brand new A Way With Words die, Noel (found in the pre-order category on Quietfire Design or the coming soon category on Elizabeth Craft Designs).  I've cut it from Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz and I love how it catches the light as the card moves.  All 3 layers on the card plus the card itself are die cut using the ECD Stitched Rectangles die set from Soft Finish Cardstock (White and Ladybug Red).  The first layer is embossed (ECD Spring Leaves) and the edges inked with Distress Ink Evergreen Bough.  The next layer is inked with Evergreen Bough and a piece of Washi Tape wrapped around the layer.  After attaching the top layer to the second layer they are wrapped with a metallic ribbon.  The 3rd layer is also embossed with Spring Leaves and then sanded to bring out the design.  Everything is attached to a folded white card.  When die cutting the card base I folded the paper and placed the die so the fold was just inside the cut line, taped the paper in place and cut it.  The bird is a new Garden Notes die from ECD.  It was cut from White Soft Finish Cardstock and colored using Distress Inks and a Waterbrush and also Distress Markers.  A single drop of Glossy Accents was used to make an eye.
