With Every Leaf a Miracle - Stamping on Old Book Pages

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a card featuring the Leaves stamp set and Copper Foil gilding powder from Quietfire Design.

I started by stamping 'with every leaf a miracle' on a rectangle of cardstock (about 5.5 x 4.25") and covering with Copper Scroll gilding powder and heat embossing.   I then put a strip of copper around the edge of the card.  Just cover most of the card with a scrap of cardstock and rub embossing ink over the tiny bit of exposed edge.  Cover this with gilding powder and heat to melt.

I spritzed a bit of spray ink to add a little colour and sketched out a tree branch with a dark brown marker.  It's not fine art, just a place to attach some leaves.

For the leaves, I stamped directly onto an old dictionary page and heat embossed with the copper gilding powder.  Add colour with watercolour paint or markers or dye ink.  Let dry and cut out.

Mount some of your leaves with dimensional adhesive.  Back your card front with a piece of frayed burlap before adhering to a card base. That's it!   Thanks for stopping by and happy autumn to you and your family.
